Yesterday I spent my day soaking up inspiration at the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibition at the de Young museum here in San Francisco. They're a few designers that have the ability to fully translate the artistic visions they see in their heads into clothing that does justice to the integrity of their original designs, and one of those is Gaultier! The entire exhibition was captivating and dream-like with vivid visuals that came to life with the technological use of overhead projector that turned a lifeless mannequin in to an individual by giving them a talking, moving face. The whole time I was there I was so excited and amused by the complexity of the garments. The exhibition is at the de Young until August 19.
